What it does
Needle Valves
A needle valve is a small-bore valve that adjusts flow very precisely as a tapered stem gradually approaches the seat orifice. The multi-turn movement of the stem means only a small change in cross-section per turn of the handwheel, which allows fine adjustment at low flow rates. It is used to isolate pressure gauges, transmitters and sampling lines, and in calibration circuits and gas analysis lines.
