What it does
Fire Hose Valves
A fire hose valve is the valve to which the hose is connected in fire cabinets and on hydrant lines, and which must open rapidly in an emergency. Its critical characteristics are that it can be fully opened quickly with a single movement, and that it still operates without seizing after long periods of standing unused. The straight type suits inline runs, while the angle type directs the hose downwards on lines emerging from a wall. These products are safety equipment and their operability must be verified by opening and closing them periodically.
